Itinerary update: The plan
Plans are good and, as a somewhat anal control freak, I excel at them. It’s the only way I can keep my terror at bay long enough to get where I’m going. The itinerary page has finally been updated with my plan as I have it. Needless to say, it’s subject to alternation, change and tinkerage between now and April. I’m planning on staying longer than the 22nd April, too, I just haven’t worked out how long for or where I’ll be going.
I’ve also started inputting the data into Google Maps, which you can see above. Again, this is a work in progress but it’s giving me a nice pictorial reference of how much of the country I’m going to see.

I see that you’re using the limobus, it’s cheaper and just as easy to use the Narita Express into Tokyo/Shinjuku and then grab a taxi across to your hotel. Judging by your map, it looks like you’re going for the Shinjuku Hilton (which I didn’t stay at, but looked nice
) and it was a really quick walk to be honest with you from Shinjuku Station to the hotel.
If the walk concerns you (like it did me the first time), if you leave from the East Shinjuku Station exit there are taxi bays just on your right hand side.
Just a suggestion
.
Looks like you’re going to have a great time, much more adventurous than I was!
I would take the NEX but to be honest, I’m playing the disability card. I’m going to be tired and unable to function and the Limobus goes straight to the Hilton (yep, it’s the Shinjuku one). The less stress the better, even if I can’t check in till 2pm, I would rather find the hotel, then wander, than get lost trying to find it.
